At the November State Scout Youth Council, Brendon Kingdom, Alan Blunt and Anne Marie Van Duin were thanked for their great work in establishing Scout Youth Councils across the State. Their positions have now been re-elected for 2010. Meet the new Executive for the State Scout Youth Council for 2010.

State Scout Youth Council - November 21 - 22The next State Scout Youth Council (SSYC) will be the annual main meeting held on the weekend of 21st and 22nd November 2009 at Glenfield Campsite, Hume Region. We use the SSYC as a network to pass news and views from Troops to State and back again. Three representatives come from each Region to put forward their ideas for change - It’s a bit like a Troop Council for Districts, Regions and the whole State! |

| The Scout Youth Council or SYC is a meeting of Scouts held within a District, Region or State. It is a chance to discuss issues and ideas that are important to Scouts locally and nationally.
We use the SYC as a network to pass news and views from Troops to State and back again. The representatives come from each Troop locally to put forward their ideas for change - It’s a bit like a Troop Council for Districts, Regions and the whole State! |

The State SYC meeting of November 8th and 9th 2008 made seven recommendations to the State Mindari. These will be considered by the Mindari and feedback passed to the State SYC.
