The list of personal equipment which Scouts need to take to Jamboree is available in the parents handbook. It is also reproduced below. Please reference this list when packing for Jamboree. Once you're there you can't go back for anything you've forgotten.
Personal Gear
Official Scout uniform is to be worn at the Jamboree as required (particularly Opening and Closing Ceremony).
The official NSW Contingent shirt and Jamboree scarf is to be worn to and from the Jamboree while travelling with
your Troop.
The official Jamboree uniform will be required to be worn while participating in off-site activities.
Ensure that all your gear has your name and Jamboree Troop number clearly marked on it.
Uniform
- 1 Complete Uniform
- Official pullover or Windcheater
- 1 Pair of Shoes (Black/Brown)
Clothing
- 4 Changes of underwear (minimum)
- 3 Pairs camp shorts
- Track suit trousers or jeans
- 1 Camp Shirt
- 2-3 T-Shirts (Preferably Collared)
- 1 Contingent Polo Shirt (supplied)
- 1 Pair sneakers, boots or similar
- Swimming costume
- 3 pairs of socks
- Pullover or windcheater
- Raincoat
- Suitable footwear for water activities
NOTE: Thongs only permitted for use in shower
Sleeping
- 1 Groundsheet
- 1 Airbed or similar
- 1 Sleeping bag
- 1 Inner sheet (optional but desirable)
- 2 pairs of pyjamas
- 1 inflatable pillow
Eating Utensils
- 1 Cloth string bag (approx 38cm x 30cm)
- 3 Plates, unbreakable (1 large, 2 deep)
- Knife, fork, spoon, and teaspoon
- 1 mug
- 2 tea towels
Miscellaneous
- 8 Handkerchiefs
- 3 Folding clothes hangers
- Light plastic cover for uniform (Dry Cleaner Style)
- Housewife (Needle, thread, safety pins)
- Travel log, diary or similar (optional)
- Sunglasses (optional)
- Shoe cleaning gear
- Pen, paper, envelopes, stamps & addresses (optional)
- Torch and spare batteries
- 10 clothes pegs
- Large clear plastic bags for washing, storage (optional)
- Small quantity of dry washing -powder in a sealed bag.
- Water Bottle for water on activities
- Small bag clearly named for Troop security box
- Container or small bag for swap badges (optional)
Toiletries
Bag or similar containing:
- Soap in unbreakable container
- Toothbrush and Toothpaste
- Comb (essential), brush (optional)
- 2 Towels
- Face washer
- Shaving gear if necessary
- Talcum Powder
- Personal items, sunburn cream etc
- Non Aerosol deodorant
