Three Generations

There are 3 Generations of the Nickl Family attending this Jamboree as participants. Not only that but they all come from different Scouting districts and are in different areas at the Jamboree.

Lone Rovers Not So Alone

The NSW Lone Rover crew does not often manage to get together as they are based all over NSW. Events like AJ2010 provide an opportunity for the crew to meet, exchange ideas and perform their crew ceremonies. At AJ2010 they were able to invest two Squires and three Knights into the crew.

1st Caringbah Australian Scout Medallions

Medallion ScoutsA special ceremony took place this week at the Australian Jamboree, being held from 4 – 14 January at Cataract Scout Park, when four Scouts from 1st Caringbah Group were awarded the Australian Scout Medallion.

Sonik Patel, Chris Beauchamp, Duncan Clark and Jessica Juretic, all aged between 13 and 15 years, have been members of Scouts Australia for a number of years and between them have committed considerable time to achieve this award.

NSW Welfare Leaders Prepare

The NSW Contingent welfare leaders (CWLs) are responsible for overseeing the well-being of NSW Leaders and Scouts at AJ2010. The CWLs are all experienced leaders who have attended multiple Jamborees. Their combined experience and training is available to the leaders in Jamboree troops. This helps to give leaders and Scouts the best possible Jamboree experience.

Jamboree Site Nearly Ready

Main Arena StageCataract Scout Park is a hive of activity as preparations continue for AJ2010. Across the Contingents and sub-camps tents are being erected, fences built and paths constructed. With only a day to go before the Scouts arrive there is much to do. Sometimes it doesn't look like it but we know it will be ready on time.
